Round up, to me anyways, is another story. Boot Hill should not recieve any funds from any taxing entity untill they open their books to the public. Which, I may be wrong, has not been done yet.
BTW,
The CFAB members are appointed by the commissions (city and county, 3 from each) with the chairman who is the president of Dodge City/Ford County Development Corp.
I really doubt that the individuals who sits on the CFAB will cause any waves with the commissions. They are appointed because the commission knows how to stack the deck in their favor, which has always been the case, just the way it is. The CFAB are individuals who go through interviews with the commissions. Say the wrong words and chances are "you're out!" Sure, someone who disagrees may be appointed, but rest assured the majority will stand with the commissions. |
Mike -Yes you are wrong, and this myth continues to be perpetuated forever - no matter what the truth is. It's another example of irresponsible statements you make without ever finding out the facts.
Boot Hill Museum's books are open. They are audited by a local CPA frim every year (for 20 years or more) and found in compliance with GAAP. They have been reviewed by CFAB sub-committee. You can disagree with WND funds being distributed to BHM - but please stop saying that Boot Hill's books need to be audited, or open to the public. It's a worn-out rumor.
