2007 Medallion Hunt

Once again it's time for the Dodge City Daily Globe Medallion hunt. Thanks goes out to the Globe for providing us with this annual hunt.

NEW BUCKLE!!!
This years buckle, provided by the High Plains Journal, is slightly larger than before.

RULES:
The Medallion is hidden on public property within a 5-mile radius of downtown Dodge City.

Destruction of property is not necessary to find the Medallion and will not be allowed.

The Medallion is not buried, and climbing will not be necessary.

Anyone may participate in the hunt except employees of the Daily Globe and their immediate families or households.

Riddles offering clues to the medallion’s hiding place will be published each day starting today in the Daily Globe, and they will continue until someone finds the medallion and turns it in. It is not necessary to purchase or subscribe to the Daily Globe to participate in the hunt.

Clues will be posted for viewing at the Daily Globe office, 705 Second Ave., from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8-9 a.m. Saturday. Globe employees will not read clues over the phone, however.

The clues will be posted online the day after they appear in the Globe. For example, today's clue will appear online Tuesday.

Whoever finds the medallion must present it in person to either O’Neal or Publisher David Meadows between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Globe. The finder may either claim the $500 prize or keep the medallion.

Monday 23rd Clue:
They come in many shapes and sizes.

Tuesday 24th Clue:
Many are dirt, but some are paved <- Parking lots?
