| Actually, it's not the "radical Muslim World" ideas, nor does it have anything to do with Allah..
I believe back in the 'olden' days, they took care of criminals in a fashion that frightened most others to not desire what might happen to them as well.
I highly doubt that offering a nice air conditioned cell block, some cable tv, work out rooms, internet, and three meals a day... makes a criminal think twice about their actions.
Not everyone gets three meals a day, ya know?
