Casino Cash: $
hmmm, an events center for Dodge is now

a major cost savings (potentially -- water, roads, sewer, etc) for a privately run, state owned casino...and it would seem, if correct, that the same folks that decide the events center location are going to both be on the private casino management board (potentially) and sell the land to the casino and the city, and have and are on the CFAB board.

Gee, and their accountant is Dodge City mayor Big Kent Smoll (and until a fast resignation, he was on the private casino potential management board) -- hmmm, golly, wonder how that plays in any ethical way ... and, oh yes, as is the CFAB Chair and the husband of the Mayor's business partner (thus, again, the accountant for the land owners/casino board members )

darn, I must not be understanding why we needed the events center to help Dodge City -- didn't read the fine print "$30 million to help the casino" when I voted in 1997. And certainly, I clearly need to understand the laws on giving profit to your business friends when deciding on spending tax money.
