FWIW, I had constant trouble with my egress window well flooding when I was in Dodge. After trying a couple of things, I dug out the bottom of the well about 12" and filled it with gravel and such. Then I took some cement caulk and filled all the seams and cracks. Last I bought an automatic submersible utility pump and placed it in the corner. Hooked a garden hose to it and ran the cord into the garage with a heavy duty extension cord. Lastly I hooked it to an old computer battery backup. I never had a flooding problem again. The 2002 price was around #120 for everything if I recall correctly.

The company I used doesn't list an automatic pump anymore but these folks make one. Floor sucker series by Zoeller Pump Company

Even if you don't want to go through the hassle I went through, they have less expensive non automatic pumps, Tie a rope to the handle, attach the hose and power supply and drop it in the well. Whole lot easier and quicker than a bucket
