| The law states in a brief way that after March of 2005 no new pitbulls will be registured and no new pitulls will be allowed to live with in the city limits. If they were registured before March 2005 there were certian conditons that had to be met. You can not bring in any more pitbulls to the city and if you have a registured one that has pups the pups have to be out of the city I think within in 6 weeks. If your neighbor did not have it registured pitbull before March of 2005 he could be facing up to a $1000.00 fine and possible 6 mos in jail. I knew several who recieved the $1000.00 fine because they did not follow the ordiance. The ordiance is about 8 pages long on the requirements. |
