Do you mean because Clinton claimed that he did everything he could to get OBL?
That claim doesn’t hold up if you read the recently released CIA report. There was no comprehensive assessment of al’Qaida and no comprehensive report on UBL after 1993 among other things.
What the CIA did have was a lack of funding causing them to divert money from counterterrorism operations to other activity. They only started to get their act together in 2001.
Does this sound like Clinton was doing everything he could to get OBL to you because it doesn’t to me. I mean, it might be a little more believable if he actually had the CIA looking for the guy.

BTW, has anyone seen or heard anything out of OBL lately? The last tape from a couple months age appears to be part of another tape from about five years ago. I think there’s a good change that he’s dead and al’Qaida ain’t saying anything. Old guys that die from some disease on the floor of a cave don’t make the best martyrs.
