They went down to Oklahoma and played a good NEO team (48-15). Now they get #4 Butler at home on saturday. Talk about a buzz saw to start the season. But if they can come out healthy after these two games, they have a shot at being good.

Right now the defense looks good considering that they gave up 48 to NEO. The offense struggled at NEO, but shows signs of promise.

They Conqs do have a local flavor with 5 kids from Dodge High, (T. Kirby, B. Hamilton, J. Bradshaw, Q. Robinson and P. Nelson), 2 from South Gray (Hedlund twins), and players from Spearville, Jetmore, Kinsley and Bucklin.

It would have been nice if we could have read about the game in the Dodge Globe but absolutely nothing was mentioned. Maybe they will be at the home game this weekend.

And just like the high school, the conqs games will now be broadcast on 95.5.
