| Bogus bomb threat reported at Government Center

A bomb threat that was called in late Thursday afternoon at the Ford County Government Center turned out to be false.
A county department received a call at about 4:09 p.m. saying a bomb was in the building, said Police Chief John Ball. The building was evacuated according to the county's policy for such situations, but authorities did not find anything suspicious.
The Government Center shut down for the day since the bomb threat was called in shortly before the close of business, said Ford County Clerk Vicki Wells.
