| Let's see........
5 broken fingers, 1 broken knuckle (still missing it by the way), broken wrist (just had it rebuilt last year, bone from my hip was used), 2 broken arms, torn ligaments and tendons in both knees and ankle, 1 broken leg, 3 broken toes, 4 bones broken in my right foot, plus a few concussions, broken rib, broken chest bone, cracked skull........all of them from different injuries while playing sports. Wish to assume some more my friend? I never said I was an expert, but common sense does play a large part in my observation. While being a plumber does not make you an expert on water, it does make you a bit more knowledgeable about the differences, pro's and con's, of PVC versus copper pipe. So, since you obviously have not played or coached soccer, and probably not any football beyond streetball, and I have, then, yeah, it does make me a bit more knowledgeable.
While I do not wish to argue this point, and I did not condone or justify the remark made that started this whole mess, I was trying to point out the futility of the argument. Arguing about how tough a sport is, is like trying to prove a negative. Is baseball harder and more tough than basketball? Is track more tough and trying than water polo? ALL sports are tough and ALL athletes are skilled and tough in their chosen field. I understood what Monster was saying in the first post and I took it as a smart-ass sarcastic remark. He apologized for making the remark and I can accept that, especially since he did not get all defensive and start a pissing up the tree contest on which sport is better. He likes soccer and is proud of it, so be it. I like football almost as a second religion, and so be it.
