| Yeah, I agree - those are all awesome as well. It's just that the Vietnam Memorial was so hard on me emotionally. And I can't tell you why. I had no family members (that I knew of) on the wall, I knew a couple of names, but didn't know them personally. Maybe it was just the sight of the black marble. So cold and final. Whatever it was, I'll never forget it. The other memorials are great - and I love seeing them and the obvious care they receive. It's really funny....you hear hushed voices in church all the time. But it's just not so expected outside - and only hushed voices are heard on the mall in Washington. Except for the 4th of July parade!
