Wow, you're brave, AoO.... speaking out like that...

And it's so nice to know that the reason I'm overweight, along with a majority of Americans, is because I've been eating the wrong salads. I do believe current empirical evidence shows that a varied diet is healthier than a limited diet. Why not praise your sister for going out of her comfort zone and eating something with green vegetables rather than berating her for getting fried chicken, blue cheese, and creamy dressing?

It's my belief that portion size is more to blame than food selection. After all, everything I've read indicates that anything - ANYTHING can be eaten in moderation and still be part of a healthy diet. That means you have one onion ring, not a platter. One bite of cheesecake, not an eighth of a pie. Half a Cobb Salad, not the whole thing.

Why don't you invite her out on a walk to the park - and bring the kids along - instead of picking on what she chooses to eat?
