I agree with what you said. I know about the abuses.
As far as drug use, legal or illegal . I have no answer for that. I can only guess that for whatever reason someone chooses to become dependent on them is only know by them.
I am addicted to nicotine. I will probably quit when the grass is growing over me. I guess I haven't had enough health problems to make me want to give it a serious consideration for quitting. That's crazy I know. Why wait till your sick. There is no rational explanation for addictions. And the thinking pattern for an addicted person defies logic.
My dad was an alcoholic and I didn't understand how he could let alcohol control him so much. As much as I talk about my drinking habits, I can take it or leave it. I was a social drinker and did not just sit at home and crave it. I just liked the feeling of being more outgoing with a drink or two. I am in a "dry county" and I don't run over to buy it. I have no desire for it at all. So not having that addiction, my understanding of it is limited.
Anyway FWIW I do have questions about motives of folks, but I guess the answers are as easy as what has been discovered in DNA, and fingerprints. Same species but totally different.
Does that make sense ? I know......what does that have to to with handouts. Hell I dunno. |
