First of all yes..having bases in Iraq will benefit us in the future just like having bases in Europe benefited us in the cold war.

Second of all you are just NOW figuring out that Iran is trying to develp nuclear weapons? It's been in the news for the last 18 months or so. They have threated to total destruction of Isreal flat out and also threatened the U.S. You don't hear about it as much as you should in the media because it is liberal. Plus I will admit that after not a whole lot of WMD was found in Iraq the credibility of the administration isn't exactly at an all time high. Isreal just bombed Syria taking out some supposed nuke sites...it was played down in the media. I wonder if this is a practice for Iran. If Iran are developing nukes do you think we should intervene? Also do you think the Republicans or Dems would best handle the situation?
