I was just as rigid in my beliefs at one time as you are. I think a combination of age and experience does what it is supposed to do, causes us to "evolve".
I try to see the good in both parties. That's so hard to do these days because its such an obvious reality that the riff between our leaders is bringing us to destruction. In other words. We the people no longer exists. We are being destroyed from within, by the decisions of our leaders on
both sides.
For anyone to say that democrats are supporting terrorists is an attack on Citizens of America. So I defend them because that is such an unfair view IMHO, and it throws me into a defense mode.
I have learned for every yin there is a yang, for every action there is a re-action, for every decision there is a consequence. It has taken me years to figure that out.( that decision has a consequence thing was a recent folly of mine) So its an on going process.
I
try very hard to not pass judgment on people that I come in contact with if they are less fortunate, less educated, less anything. That is a hard one to conquer and I fail miserably sometimes. However the adage " WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES" has its place in society.
A bit of background on that is I had a mother that was the most negative, condescending , unforgiving, holier than thou, individual that I have met to this date. God rest her soul she took it to the grave. She was a miserable human being and made her daughter (me) the source of all of her misery. Hell I left her clutches when I was 14, and never wanted to be around her again.
Where I am going with this is ................ I have to wonder what it was like to walk in her shoes. Well I know part of it, but her youth, she didn't share with me.
You know that goes with our leaders also. I have no clue what it would be like in their shoes and I don't want to know.
Army, I probably more than most know EXACTLY the military take on things.
Just because I have evolved, doesn't mean I have forgotten.
I am getting totally off on a tangent now so I will shut up ( yeah riiight)
