| While a part of me goes with teachers feeling safer with a gun........I still do not like the idea of it. While horrible as these instances are, they are still isolated instances. You start allowing teachers to carry weapons, then why have the gaurds? What if one of them snaps (we have already seen some in the law enforcement community do that) and starts shooting? It's different if you carry a gun and are attacked. What if the shooting is in another area? Do you want your kids exposed to a gun weilding PANICKED history teacher?
