Immigration: Phase 2

I'm sure this thread is going to get taken as a racists point of view but it's far to important to let political correctness get in the way.

In todays Globe I see what one might call phase 2 of the immigrant movement. Titled "Need for leadership" its nothing less than the second stage of what we've seen in other locations such as Cali-Mexico.

Hispanics, and I use it to reference the newcomers, are now looking to plant "representatives" in local government. Now I don't have a problem if a Hispanic, or anyone for that fact, is elected to office because he/she will do a good job, but I do have a problem with being elected just because we don't have a Hispanic in office.

Southern Cali-Mexico is dealing with the results of letting this happen. The newcomers over-populate the area and then put their people in office where they can create a sanctuary city.

Yes we now are overrepresented by a Hispanic population but personally I think this is temporary. Slowly we are seeing things headed in the right direction.

Again, my problem is not with having a Hispanic in office but with electing someone simply because we need a Hispanic in office. I really couldn't think of a more stupid reason to elect someone to office.
