| I've wondered the same thing, Army. Hubby tells me that there was so much drug use, even after Vietnam, among soldiers and so many of them were just completely whacked out that there isn't a 'normal' for them. Families turned on them because they didn't know what else to do. The person they sent to the war wasn't the same person as the one that returned and families didn't know how to handle it. Those boys saw a lot of sh!t - it's a wonder any of them came back even semi-normal. The kids that are having their tours extended in Iraq make me think the same thing. I hope and pray we can take better care of them than we did the Vietnam vets.
