If the packing plants were not here Dodge may not have the money flowing through it or..out of it in the present case but it would still exist because of the history. It would be smaller but it wouldn't have all the social problems the packing plants bring. I bet if you would take a poll/survey of the citizens that have been here a long time they would overwhelming like it as it were before. The only thing the packing plants brought to the town was more money. That will come with the casino. In return for the money we get a crappy Walmart, social problems that we can't solve, poison water, pink and purple houses, property you can't sell, higher taxes, a horrid school district and so on and so on...it's NOT worth it.
