| I took my piercings out long before this job, I have a cbr in my septum that I flip up when I do wear it at work, a tongue ring, and my ears are stretched to a 2g. If you don't believe "professionals" have heavy mods, check out the book ModCon, that should open your eyes a bit. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they're not there. Of course it's your choice to spend your dollar w/ whoever, I'm not saying otherwise.
The point I was trieng to make is that they ARE becoming the norm, they are more popular than ever before. Alot of jobs are accepting them more.
What do you have against people with tattoos and piercings? just curious.
When I came back to Dodge from Colorado w/ my ex we both had quite a few piercings (facial included) and tattoos, people looked at us in disgust. A little girl was smiling and asking me questions about them and her mom pulled her away as if we doing something wrong. We got that all the time, but we were used to it. It's sad that a child was caring enough to ask questions to better understand something, and the parent thought so badly of us that she pulled her away. My ex was denied a job at a tire shop because of his tattoos but was hired as a legal assistant and was able to show his tattoos and his "holes in his ears". Figure that one out!! To each their own though, I understand everyone will have their opinion which their entitled to. I don't mind the looks, stares, and snickers I get.. but I do get offended by close-minded a-holes that can't keep their opinions to themselves and go out of their way to ensure I hear it when I walk by.
