I have nothing against tats..My ex wife had a couple. I'm sure in certain area's it's more accepted by the population. My point is that your AVERAGE farm guy around here isn't going to buy insurance or see a doctor with dime sized holes in his ears. Just MY perception...right or not. I know a lot of professional people that have tat's and piercings also...soldiers included. A lot of places have dress codes that will not allow those type of things. I can't speak for San Francisco or wherever but I can tell you being in the military and travelling a lot I don't see that many people with body modifications in professional jobs. I am not saying that they don't exist but it's NOT the norm. Yes there are grandmothers with tatoo's and ect...yadda yadda yadda...but it's NOT the norm.
