As of right now every top chain in Dodge City is full.. comfort inn, holiday inn, best western, la quinta, and Super 8. Dodge house is close to being full.. I've worked here for 2.5 years and it never ceases to amaze me how busy this town really is.. Alot of us are full and stay busy Mon-Thurs year round w/ most of our rates (on average) running as low as $70 and high as $120-150 a night!! You wouldn't believe how much business gets sent out of Dodge City in the summer or even now because some the travelers or regulars refuse to stay at any of the smaller places. My first 2 years here there were a few weeks in the summer where business had to be sent out of Dodge because every single hotel stayed full, the smaller ones, the ones that some refuse to stay in because they're "roach motels" EVERYTHING was occupied .... crazy stuff
