Registration Problems: Didn't get the confirmation email?

Lately, there have been several users email me using the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page, stating that they have registered but never received the confirmation link in their email.

This is because your email account (usually hotmail) has incorrectly identified the email as spam.

If this happens to you, look in your JUNK EMAIL folder for the email.

If you do not have any mail in that folder then it is because you have your junk email settings set to immediately delete junk email.

To fix this, add dodgeboard.com to your list of SAFE SENDERS in your junk email settings.

After doing that you can request to have the confirmation email resent to you by going to the registration page.

It is imperative that your email address in your user profile be a VALID EMAIL ADDRESS. This is so you can receive notifications of private messages, thread subscriptions, happy birthday emails, and important board notices. If you do not wish to receive email from Dodgeboard.com, you can turn email feature OFF in your UserCP.

Leaving email notification ON, and having an invalid address causes problems with the boards email system and fills up the email queue with a bunch of "returned email" messages.

Hope this helps!
