Think how stupid that is. If the hospitals weren’t gouging in the first place maybe we wouldn’t have to be trying to force those prices back down.
This last summer I was having pain and went to see a nearby doctor, explaining that I appeared to have developed intolerance to a BP med that I’d been on for several years. He bragged about his “expertise”, told me that that can’t happen and wanted to do 10’s of thousands of dollars worth of tests to prove it was something else. Instead I took a day and made a road trip to see a specialist that I’m familiar with. He handed me some samples to try and within three days the pain was gone.
I think that if some of these doctors would spend as much time learning their trade as they do covering their butts to avoid well deserved lawsuits, that maybe they wouldn’t have to be so worried about those lawsuits.
