Since for the past few years now I see and hear about more and more trophy deer being taken in Kansas which I think is great

along with occasional clebrities being filmed hunting there. I try to enjoy watching the shows without distracting myself over some of the latest hunting/out of state issues I may have and enjoy trying to see if they are in or are hunting an area there that ive been in and during my usual early Sunday morning ritual of watching Bill Jodan's Realtree Hunting on ESPN2 with a good cup of coffee and a smoke, I saw something that was a pleasant suprise! It wasnt just the facts that they were deer hunting in Kansas and Bill Jordan's guest hunter was Richard Childress (of NASCAR Childress Racing teams - who #3 drove for, etc.) but it was WHERE they were hunting - places around Dodge!

One part of the hunt was in some pasture that I didnt recognize but pretty much had to be west northwest of
DC and the other segment where Childress took a nice buck was somewhere in the river bottom which was great! What I was really glad to see also was how they talked up Dodge and Boot Hill, showing them touring thru and all, I thought it was not only pretty cool but also some help toward the tourist business, to maybe help keep Boot Hill open I was thinking and didnt cost Dodge a dime for a positive showing to do it! IMO Thanks to Bill Jordan for hunting and filming there!
