Doe it really matter if the driver has insurance or not if you or your children are hit while STANDING in the street removing them from the vehicle when you could have taken the extra few seconds to INSURE (thats the insurance you need when it comes to both of your safety, careful planning) that you both are safe for the moment.

When the insurance was brought up it was meant that if you let your kids out streetside and they get hit by an uninsured driver, guess who would foot the bill!!! So, yes it does matter if the driver has insurance.
