It wasnt meant for it to be taken as "insurance doesnt matter" but in the whole scheme does it really matter if the driver has insurance when we can prevent it to begin with by taking the time to think safely and make sure our kids come home safe another day thats all.
Insurance isnt the issue, its why would some parents remove their children streetside when it is the safest route to remove them curbside. I sure am not going to be concerned if the car driving towards me has insurance im worried about whether they are going to hit me or my child.
So to sum it up there is no reason to be concerned if the oncoming traffic has insured drivers if we dont put ourselves in a position to think about it period. Park streetside with a child on board remove child curbside and that should the law.
