If the driver does hit you or your child you would be very concerned if the driver has insurance. If they don't, then you are stuck paying the medical bills for something that was not your fault.
I am the one that first brought up the insurance angle in post 10 of this thread, so I know "where my head was at" and what my meaning was when I thought it up.
