I never said it was you who brought up that I started talking about insurance. I brought up the fact that it was me that started the talk about insurance. I could care less if you were directing anything toward me or not. You said that insurance talk didn't belong in this thread. I brought up the talk of insurance and since I didn't make it clear in that post. I stated why I thought insurance does belong in this thread, at least in my opinion.

If you can't see how insurance should be a factor then that is your problem, not mine. You not being concerned if the other driver has insurance is part of the problem in this country. One of the main reasons that inusrance and medical costs are so high is because of the people that don't have insurance. Medical bills go up to cover the cost of the people that don't pay because they have no insurance and no money. The medical care givers are going to get paid one way or another. If they don't get paid by the ones with no insurance they will raise their rates on everything so that they make their money back on the ones that do have insurance.

The people that do pay for car insurance have higher premiums if it is know that there are a high number of people driving in the are with no insurance, which is the case in Dodge City. Why do you think it is cheaper for an 18 year old driver to drive in an area like Manhattan than it is for the same 18 year old driver to drive in Dodge City? Which it is, by the way, even though Manhattan is more densely populated than Dodge and most of that population is in the age bracket that statistically have more car wrecks, the insurance companies know that most of those drivers there are insured. Those insurance people know numbers and they know statistics. Just ask Muffie!
