Last night the wife and I went to Applebees to eat! At 6:00 pm there was a 15-20 minutes wait to be seated. Well I kinda expected this at this time but to my surprise there was 6-8 tables vacant at the time we walked in. In the Waiting area there was probably 15 people waiting to be sat down. We stood there for a good 10 minutes while the waitress continued to tell people 15-20 minute wait. another 5 minutes went by and still there were 6-8 tables open and clean. We got sat down shortly after that and continued to watch open tables sit vacant as people were standing and eventually leaving due to this situation. Applebees, what is the problem? Making patrons wait while there are open tables? I wasn't aware business was good enough to piss off people in this way.
