In addition to benchmarks for cancer screening, Ministers of Health committed
to strive to provide:
• radiation therapy to treat cancer within four weeks of patients being
ready to treat;
• surgical repair of hip fracture within 48 hours;
• cardiac bypass surgery within 2–26 weeks, depending on how urgently

• hip replacements within 26 weeks;
