Unless McCain gets the Republican nomination. McCain has experience. With racism being what it is, Obama would have difficulty gaining respect in racism central. McCain has respect because of his Vietnam experience, his experience on Indian Affairs subcommittee, and his coming from the Four Corners nexus. Excellent compromise candidate. Can't get too far ahead of the general attitudes of the country.
Highwayman, the analogy just doesn't hold. There is a lot of difference between primary racism (to protect one's privileged position) and secondary racism (a reaction to having been hurt, individually, familially, and historically). |
