Then where is the line between mistrust because of past hurts by racists, and racism?????

"If you are not treating others as equals because of skin color, then it is racism." Very well said.

As white as I look, when "whiter than thou folks" treat me as inferior, that is racism. And when I am mistrustful of "whiter than thou folks", who I have reason to mistrust, that cannot be defined as racism. That can only be defined as mistrust on the basis of past hurt, namely, the consistent desire of colorless people to treat me as inferior. So maybe the term "reactive racism" is a misnomer.
