| We will miss you Uncle Steve. I am a Nephew of Steve. My wife Natalie and 2.5 yr old son AJ spent a few hours with Steve and Bobbi on Sunday. When Steve could still talk he told my dad that he wanted to see AJ again. It was a good day for him. His eyes showed that he knew exactly what was going on and who was there. I think this was the last time he was outside. We spent about an hour on the front porch. Before we left Bobbi held AJ so he could give Steve a hug. There was enough strength for Steve to hug him and Natalie and I back.
I know that Steve made people happy. Last fall I asked him if he could DJ the Prom at the school that I teach at (Otis-Bison High School) and I know that he really wanted to be there. He was always there when he was asked. The last 2 times that we asked him to DJ (our wedding and a prom) we were complimented for months and years afterwards.
I can say that the entire Brown Family thanks the people of Dodge City for all of the support they have given Steve and Bobbi through his battle with cancer.
