People always bash Clinton, and I'm not saying that he was a great President, by any means. But, while he was President, he was able to reduce government spending and actually have a surplus instead of a deficit. Ok....when you have a war to fund and something like Katrina hit you have to spend more than usual. Bush did this AND cut taxes. Bubba had a surplus via the largest tax increase ever. He spent less because he had a Republican ran congress putting his ass in check. If Bush raised taxes to the rate of what Bubba did and we cut and run from Iraq and defunded the troops ala Jeeze and the Dems there would probably be a surplus.
I don't agree with all that Bush has done either BUT...the things that matter to me....My family being safe, a strong military and a tax cut or two along the way I believe Bush did ok on. I wonder where we would be with the OTHER choice...Kerry.
