He was born June 1, 1935, to Lawrence Charles and Angela Elizabeth Closen Tepe at Dodge City. He married Carol Kay Voth on June 16, 1956, at Dodge City. She survives.

Bob and his wife owned / ran Tepes Sewing and Spa Center in Downtown Dodge for many years. They were both always so helpful and caring to thier customers.
