City annexation was discussed -- maybe you weren't at meeting?

Quote:
Why should the City endorse the DC Casino proposal if they intend to locate in the County and divert all the revenue and benefits to the County
It was stated that DC would probably annex, and fine with Dodge City Casino folks. The utilities would be cheaper either way -- they are much, much closer to the NE area selected. And the fire department wouldn't have to build a new place, either -- overlooked in Clueless's comment.

Re: Horses -- the reason, I have heard stated from Ed E. and others, that Ford County is thinking about a second events center (damn that's free money, I guess) is that Butler/National/Global didn't want to manage agri shows/expos, etc. Perhaps they've changed their minds. Haven't heard that at any meeting, but I'll stand corrected if proven true.

stays on his rage about Butler not liking horses,
Rage ? Not that, but I've heard it first hand more than once -- "Butler doesn't want horses" Greg Starks, CFAB meeting, etc. So again, if they now will work with us on horses, than we don't have to consider -- should vote on it for sure if they want to build a second events center -- another venue for the agri related shows. Correct me with some evidence, please -- or don't 'rage' about my statements, Clueless.
