Copy to DVD

I've got this movie on VHS that has never and will never be released to DVD. It's one of those little known cult flicks called "Student Bodies" and if you've heard of it you know why it won't make it to the digital age.

But I think it's funny as hell.

Anyway I want to record the tape which I purchased legally to my DVD recorder.

Well the VHS is copy protected and the DVDR refuses to record it. I used to have an image stabilizer when I hooked 2 VCR's together many years ago that took this out but it's long gone.

This is the ONLY Tape I still have that has any value to it so I'm wondering if there are any suggestions.
