People keep saying this, but I don't understand why. What about the two examples i brought up earlier?

You could also imagine being armed and finding your spouse in bed with a lover, etc. (normally heat of passion murder, not premeditated) There are probably a lot more examples in a state like ours with conceal-carry where carrying a gun wouldn't mean you intended to kill anyone either.
