Dodge City passes ban on smoking

Hutchinson News Online

Dodge City passes ban on smoking, Hutchinson News, Feb. 5

Ok, I smoked, now and then, always 'quiting' -- so I do have an interest -- but aside from a few bars and a few food places, where can you smoke now anyway ? Not at government buildings, not at schools, not at stores or malls or theaters. Almost no where.

And even at those few places I can still smoke, there's always a limited area. Right ? So where is this law going to apply? Only at a few bars and restaurants, right ?

And where will it be enforced ? That the grind.

I'm learning better spanish so I will be able to smoke at a bar in the future. Unequal enforcement will be the bottom line. Easy to enforce the law at, say, Dodge House Restaurant or Cowtown or Applebee's, right. But -- and I don't bet -- but I will give 5 to 3 odds that on east Trail St. or east Wyatt Earp, there will be a few places that are not going to be smoke free.

Any takers ? Que tal with that ?
