Right...It's about the music. GOOD MUSIC. Look at Britney Spears. That psycho beeeoootch couldn't carry a tune in a bucket and has a lot of dancing w/ back up dancers, tons of energy etc....but would you want her?
Petty has been rocking for 30 plus years...successfully. He has crossed several generations and is still rocking. He's not pretty nor energetic but his music is unique. Like with any other performer, not everyone likes him...but that's the way it is. How many people can say that they have been selling music for 30 plus years?
