| Problem is that on Feb 22nd it looks like the VA will be forced to accommodate vets with PTSD and they already admit not being able to accommodate them. So what's the point of forcing the VA to care for mental issues they aren't able to address? That's going to make matters worse - God knows how ****ed up they will be then. That's not going to help the vets or decrease the suicides.
The vets ought to be able to seek help in private settings and the VA ought to be forced to pay for it. That would get them off their asses to actually have a functioning mental health branch of the VA and not a "service" that looks good on paper but actually is just a way to grab more tax money for some other pet project they have.
It's just an embarrassment that we have no problem teaching young men how to kill and be warriors then when they are damaged goods upon return, the very agency that solicits for money and gets fed funds for it's very existence - turns it's back on them. Just an example of a really crappy govt agency that rarely has to account for it's actions. Change - I want REAL change!
