What is so modern about welfare? The only thing that has changed is how much and how you get it. I feel the same way a LOT of people do about welfare. If you are an able bodied citizen you should work. If you are disabled or a senior then we as tax payers have an obligation to take care of our own...but if you can work, then go to work. I sometimes work 60 hours a week or more. I would like to be home to see my baby daughter more but I have to work so I have little sympathy for those that sit at home and draw a check when they could be working. If you feel that is wrong you are entitled. I am willing to bet that there are abled bodied people right here on the DB collecting gov't checks but still have internet and probably a buck or two to buy cigs.
