There has to be balance. There has to be a voice of reason. These folks look at it as they look at all wars. Rich man/Poor man. That does not make them un-American. Like that woman said..... The last war that was necessary was WWII.
We have in America a DOD.....department of defense.....not a DOO....department of offense.... hello.
The rich have always exploited the poor to fight their wars and that is a fact.
We all know that if a family has money they can keep their kids out of conflict, even if a draft is in place.
If a person has money they can get a "DREAM TEAM" to keep their sorry asses out of prison for murder.
Underprivileged are targeted thats a fact. Its blatantly obvious to anyone paying attention.

Thats just the way it is and its not gonna change...
I am a-fixin ( ky speak) to get up close and personal with the Middle East conflict in about 2 years give or take.
My grandson will be 16 in March.... He called me to ask my opinion of his joining the army after he graduates.
He said the recruiter came to speak to the High School and he was VERY impressed with the INCENTIVES, needless to say.
I didn't discourage or encourage him. Its a way to
better himself from the total disregard his parents have inflicted on him. I advised him how important it is for him to keep his nose clean and keep his grades up because that will count if he decides to enlist.
I am very proud of him....however.... He isn't thinking about patriotism...he is looking at the money.....
