It's not all about that. It IS about oil in a sense. In my opinion it's about stability or TRYING to get stability in the middle east where a percentage of our oil comes from. It's also about military strategy (have base's in Iraq, which Obama says we will not have but we already have). It's about being in the region to put pressure on other countries like Iran. It took us MONTHS to get built up for Desert Storm. If we need to DO something in Iran because say they bust open a dirty bomb on us...our troops are right there and can GO.
Do people get wealthy off of the war. You bet. Everything this country does whether it's building planes, buying tanks or making war...someone profits. It's the American way. Are there back room deals cut...hell yeah, always has and always will...by both parties. The best thing I can tell you to do is that if you think Haliburtion is making so damned much money it would make good sense to invest in their company and get a little piece of the cabbage.
