Complaint About Victory Electric

we moved into this house over easter weekend last year. had called the electric company and had our elecricity transfered to our new home. when we started getting our bills at our new address i called victory in concern (about 5-6 times last year)because they were so low. total last year we paid a lil over $165 for all of our bills. now last week now i get a phone call saying that we had not been being billed for the right house. our landlord had been paying our bill and we had been paying the bill at our old house. only thing is, we had the electricity shut off over there, we were there for easter to hide eggs for the kids, and there were no light and no heat. now we are told we have almost a $1000 bill, because our landlord wants his money back. not our problem, right? we checked, called and went in to the office. they say that theyll let us pay $300 and theyll lwrite the rest off. still, i dont think we should be responsible for their mistake. any one have any ideas?
