I created a test blog logged in as Jeezeweeze. I then was able to see the "post a comment" link as another user.

Apparently, you can set permissions at the time of making the blog, or your blog control panel permissions are inherited by blog at the time of post, and cannot be subsequently changed.

So, if i have my permissions set to not allow comments when I post a blog, then changing them later does not allow comments on the prior blogs, only new blogs.

Try and create another blog post JW, and see if we can comment to it.

BTW- You can delete the (test) one I created as you.
