| I'm hoping to get one of those in the next week as well! I had one with my first birth, and I can almost guarantee it's much easier for you to relax while they place the needle than it will be for me. I'll be curling over a huge belly that's in the process of contracting. If I can handle it, ANYONE can!
It wears off pretty quickly as soon as they stop the flow of medication. I remember I had it turned off for an hour, then I was able to get up and walk to the bathroom.
