The revisions increased the 2007 first-quarter loss to $3.0 billion, up from the $2.7 billion loss reported last year. There also will be revisions to second- and third-quarter 2007 results. The annual net loss of $5.1 billion for 2007 is not affected.

FedEx reported earnings of $610 million, or $1.96 per share for the three months ended May 31, up from $568 million, or $1.82 per share, a year ago.
For all of fiscal 2007, FedEx earned $2.02 billion, or $6.48 a share, up from $1.81 billion, or $5.83 a share, the previous year. Revenue rose to $35.2 billion from $32.3 billion a year earlier. Ummm...yeah...Postal service is subsidized by the gov't and loses 5.1 billion last year....Fed Ex is private and makes 2+ Billion...yeahhhhh. Definitely a point for a well ran gov't entity.
