| Barking dogs can be annoying, but as has already been mentioned, I'd be more concerned as to why. Unless they just bark all the time.
Just this morning one of my dogs was barking at something even why in the house. I normally let her out in the morning, to take care of business, but she started barking. I went outside and looked around in the direction she was barking, but saw nothing. I brought her in so as to not wake the neighbors, but she was still barking at something.
I have no doubt something/someone was out there I just couldn't see anything. A barking dog also has a tendency to persuade prowlers to move on.
